The ocellaris ranges from the edge of the habitat of the Percula in Northern Australia, through the Indonesian archipelago, all the way up to Thailand and the Philippines and to Southern Japan. The black ocellaris variant is found in Northern Australia from Darwin towards the West.   They can grow up to 3.2 inches and are territorial, quiet within their territory,  and peaceful.
